Wellington OSCAR Network

We are an informal network of providers that self-formed when the Oscar Foundation ceased to exist in May 2012. 

The main role of this network is to support each other, share ideas and resources and coordinate training needs.

Term 1 Training -

Child Protection → Wednesday 24th February

This session will provide an informative and supportive introduction to the topic. Practical exercises are included to help staff become more aware and effective in safeguarding their children, their programme and themselves. Essential training for all programme staff and a requirement under the MSD OSCAR Standards. Please be advised that this topic will be challenging for some of your staff as it does not shy away from presenting the reality of child abuse and mistreatment.

Holiday Programme Planning Workshop → Thursday 25th February

These are popular sessions that give you the chance to get together and swap ideas for your holiday programmes. We will also facilitate some discussion around current topics of interest such as: transport and excursion costs, managing staff & volunteers, ideas for activities. Let us know what you would like to discuss and we will add this to the session.

This workshop is a free OSCN networking event. Please still register so we can plan appropriately.
